You shall be delivered up…
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door [set the will to repent and believe], I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation of John 3:20).”
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be you separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you (II Corinthians 6:17).”
I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemes against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven. And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take no thought how or what thing you shall answer, or what you shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say (Luke 12: 8-12).”
“But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you shall speak, neither do you premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak you: for it is not you that speak, but the Holy Ghost (Mark 13:11).”
The time and the hour of delivering up is at hand. This nation has been weighed in the balance and has been found wanting.
The invisible body of the redeemed is worldwide. It owes primary allegiance to the kingdom of God. In so far as the word of God is not transgressed the Christian is to obey the laws of the land where God has placed him.
A nation is not able to save, a church is not able to save. God has neither covenanted with a nation since Israel nor has he made one with a denomination or an individual congregation. He has called His church out of the world. The church is God’s instrument for the work of the Holy Spirit to prepare his people to go out into the harvest to reap the “wheat.” His covenant is with one person at a time by the work of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. God saves one person at a time through the blood of Christ shed on the cross.
As the will is set to repent, believe and declare Jesus the Son of God and heir of the One God, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel (Jacob) a man or woman is born again. Then and only then that person becomes a Christian in name and in deed.
