Time as God Sees It

by Isaiah Roman

God sees the whole of time in an instant, in a single glance down the “hall of creation,” from the beginning of creation to Armageddon and the creation of a new heaven and new earth prior to the descending of a new Jerusalem (Jeruh-shalom; “Peace of God;” “the place where I shall put my name there forever”).

“I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

“I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

“I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

“I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

“For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
“For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it. [What I have written, I have written, said the Lord and it shall stand!]

“The whole city (Jerusalem) shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

“And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do?” (Jeremiah 4: 23-30)

“The Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually” (I Kings 9:3).

I AM CONVINCED… “IF” the council of seventy, the king and the princes of Judah had harkened to the first five chapters of Jeremiah’s prophecy the Kingdom of God would have descended on earth in that INSTANT OF TIME!

By the same token had the council of seventy (Sanhedrin) accepted Jesus as Christ and Lord and had not instead demanded his crucifixion the same thing would have happened. There are, no doubt, other moments in history when it might have been possible as well, but those two stand out.
