The Time Has Come

by Isaiah Roman

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes—and ships—and sealing wax—
Of cabbages—and kings—
And why the sea is boiling hot—
And whether pigs have wings.”

“But wait a bit,” the Oysters cried,
“Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!”
“No hurry!” said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.

Do these verses sound strange to you?  They shouldn’t; read the morning news paper, listen to a broadcast of the the morning news on most any radio station or television channel.  They all sound the same.   Those instruments of broadcast media are lacking in common sense, i.e., they are as weird or strange as that poem.

[If one had lived in the time and location of Lewis Carroll one might be able to fathom somewhat the poem’s meaning.  In the context of this modern day and time it is confusion.]

Political correctness has taught the world there is no right or wrong.  One must not correct or criticize; it is mortal sin to damage a person’s self esteem.  After all, there really is no such thing as right or wrong; all things are relative to time place or person. One persons food is another persons poison.

This concept has turned the world topsy turvy.   Like the confusion spread in words of this poem that false concept has wrought only corruption and confusion.  The world has taken Einstein’s theory of relativity to the nth Degree; indeed a few steps farther then he intended it seems.

Each individual has his own theory of relativity and no one has an obligation or a right to “preach” to anyone else because no one is perfect.  Everyone can be right or wrong and what’s the harm?  Like the Einstein’s final solution of the relativity formula E=mc, this erronious concept has wrought destruction every where it has been detonated.

The irony of it is that Einstein’s work was created to prove the universality of the laws of physics. His work has nothing to do with relative states of being, but rather shows us that this is a world with absolutes; the laws of physics have not been repealed nor abridged. Step off a high platform or from a roof top without a ladder or lift of some type and see what happens. What goes up must come down is still the law of gravity.  Two pieces of matter may not occupy the same space at the same time.  This is the law that is responsible for most automobile accidents. Defy the law of gravity and see what results. Put a part of a human body in contact with fire or a heated piece of material and avoid, if you are able, being burned.  The list goes on; everyone knows the results when the laws of thermodynamics are transgressed. These laws of physics are carried over into rational thought through the simple principle of the Law of Non-Contradiction.

Yet those that practice psychiatry tell the world there is no real or lasting damage or harm done when the laws of human relationships are corrupted or broken.  Huge sums of money must change hands; but, they will “put a fix” on any problem that may have occurred in a person’s life.  Psychiatry can help one adapt to almost anything.  It can’t cure anything; but, it claims the power to assure a person he can learn to live with his problem.

Yet at the same time humanity is at a loss to explain the mindset of a serial killer, a stalker, or some one run amok with a weapon randomly killing dozens of innocent bystanders.

Incorrect or corrupted Interpersonal relationships leave wounds and scars to the psyche just as a weapon or natural elements wound a physical body.

“Humanity without divinity sinks to bestiality!”  A simple cursory search of world religions will show that every one of them expresses this sentiment in some fashion.  Each differs somewhat in the explanation or definition of how it applies however.

The story of “The Lord of the Flies” is a good example.  How could several young boys from a highly civilized society sink to the level of those in the story?

The answer is simple; there is in the human mind the capability for either humane behavior or bestiality.  There is only one world religion that gives the correct answer to the corruption of human interactivity ending either in humane understanding or in bestiality. Judaism (Moses Law from Mt. Sinai) and its fulfillment Christianity stand alone in this regard.

God gave the law (Ten Commandments) supernaturally to Israel through Moses.  Moses prophesied the fulfillment of those laws (Deuteronomy 18: 15); God promised a mediator (Shiloh) would come from the tribe of Jacob’s son Judah, (Jesuah Ha’amashia) to “save His people.”  This Messiah would one day gather again Israel from the nations of the earth where He would scatter them and reestablish and reconcile them to Himself.  He also would call out a people out in the name of His Son (One born of God not created, a Mediator or Messiah) who would be used in the reconciliation of His people.

At the time of the establishment of the covenant Moses prophesied the falling away of the Israelites from the One true God.   He would scatter them over the face of the earth because “they would turn from Him and go after false gods.” They were to suffer until they learned, that “they might know,” of a truth the Lord is the only God; but, He would gather them again and reconcile all things.  His chosen people, through the mediatory work of His Son, would turn again to Him.  With a new heaven and a new earth under a New Jerusalem like the paradise He created for Adam at the beginning the people of God will live in eternal bliss like that original paradise.

“The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him (II Chronicles 16: 9).”

There is in every member of the human race every thing necessary to be either an arch rebel or one “after God’s own heart.”   “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things (Roman’s 8: 32)?”

The soul that glorifies God by believing Him and taking Him at His word to redeem the sinner; to that person who will in truth glorify God saying, “there, but for the grace of God, go I;” to him will be given “the peace of God that passes all understanding!”  God has promised this through the willing sacrifice of His only begotten Son Jesus the Christ on the cross.  He that knew no sin was made sin for the whole of humankind.

To the soul that diligently seeks God, the Holy Spirit shall continually reveal that human nature is corrupt apart from His grace; “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it (Jeremiah 17:9)?”  God places the “comforter” His Holy Spirit in his heart, that he may know to “eschew evil and choose good.”

All those that willingly subject themselves to God’s sovereignty, i.e., submit the entire essential existence (being; Roman’s 12: 1-2) in abject abandon; holding no part of it back from Him and unconditionally, God shall reward that soul with great blessing to reign with Him eternally in His glorious presence.

Since God offers such high esteem to mankind why should he need bother with self esteem?

  1. Liberalism’s erudite or stupid,  if you will, substitution for morality and order
  2. Formula to achieve atomic fission
  3. Exodus 20: 3-17; often called the Ten Commandments
