The Socialization of America Part 3
What must be understood is that there are a few underlying factors which influenced these changes in the social alignment. There is a reason why the schools decided to take on the new thought process of Progressive Education. This process began back in the late 1500′s with the breaking of the Catholic Church.
The idea of a socialistic, humanist government began with the demystifying of the hidden empire that the Roman Catholic Church had built from the late 400′s through the early-fifteen hundreds. Henry VIII broke the power of the church and created the Church of England. When he did this a new thought began to enter into the minds of the educated.
For hundreds of years the will of the Pope was inviolate. Suddenly, a mortal man had challenged the power of the Pope and come out on top. If the Pope, who was appointed by God, could be thwarted, what did that say about God? When Luther posted his thesis to the doors of the chapel at Wittenberg in 1517 he did so based upon the work of several pioneers before him. He had correctly seen that the church had become corrupt, rife with fraud and greed.
Then, in 1534 Henry VIII made the split prominent when he established an independent Church of England, with himself as it’s “Supreme Governor.” From this came the reformation, and from this came the age of enlightenment.
If the Pope spoke with the authority of God, and the Pope was corrupt, then what of God? Atheism, and it’s philosophical offspring humanism, began to become more and more acceptable. The debate began in earnest; God, or no God.
The French in particular provided a good deal of the no-God crowd. The Germans were famous for their pro-God philosophers. Meanwhile, the independent believers and reformed Christians began to make their way to a “New World.”
The work of these French philosophers did not present new ideas, they just happened to come along at a time when their presence produced the greatest effect. The whole world was ready. There had already been a huge resurgence in mysticism, a resurgence of the renaissance, a fascination with the ancient through “new” discoveries in Egypt, Greece, Rome, and even Jerusalem. The world was changing from agricultural to industrial, new lands were being discovered, new wealth was being made. The rules which for so long had governed men seemed to be failing.
Wars wracked the world beginning with the purging of the Hugenots, through the French Revolution, the American Revolution, Napoleon, the War of 1812, and so on. People were getting tired of war and imperialism. There was a desire for peace.
During the eighteen hundreds humanism began to mature in the universities. Educated men began to believe that they had the intellect to solve the worlds problems through education. Really, just a new re-hash of gnosticism.
In the mid 1800′s however, these philosphies took on a new, and more sinister twist. In 1848 Karl Marx published his Communist Manifesto and in 1859 Charles Darwin published On the Origin of Species.
What these two works did was provide the means and the meaning for a new kind of escape from the past, and more specifically, an escape from God. The very basis of Socialism/Communism/Collectivism is the idea of Jean Jaques Rousseau (et. al.) who affirmed that the atheist’s position must be that mankind is basically good, and society teaches the individual to be bad.
In this nation, and across the world, there were men who read these works and began to accept them as not only possible, but necessary. The goal; to release mankind from it’s superstitious shackles and set it free to follow it’s evolutionary trail towards greatness and no longer be stifled by ancient barriers that have for so long held mankind down. When man is released from God, man gets the opportunity to become God.
In fact socialists have a religious committee of elite socialists leaders that receive their orders and credentials through the evolution of education. Each one of the elites is a god/man where the human being who has reached the highest level of evolution is the supreme being. While socialists claim to be agnostic at best; atheist at worst they, in truth, believe that man is the highest form of existence of the planet except for perhaps dolphins and whales.
If there is one anathema to the socialist mentality it is a religion that believes God has given the individual freedom within God’s rules and government’s only responsibility is to guarantee those freedoms by enforcing God’s rules. “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8: 31-32) In the socialist’s mind it is man who should make the rules.
Unfortunately for the humanist cause, this country was not founded on humanist, secular principles. It was founded by protestant, Christian men who based every precept of this nation’s power on the scriptures of the Bible.
The United States of America was once proud of its freedom or liberty guaranteed under the Constitution. It is not possible to subjugate a people who are born free; people who have always known freedom of speech, freedom of travel and the means to take advantage of both guaranteed by a bill of rights and laws of the nation. These freedoms were guaranteed because as long as an individual operated within the boundaries of law, that individual was free to do as they pleased.
Unfortunately there is a basic principle of this paradigm which has been forgotten. Under a system of communism, all things are disallowed, and laws are written to grant freedoms. Under a federal republic, all things are allowed, and laws are written to restrict behavior.
If one is to change a nation from a federal republic to a collectivist society, there are certain steps which become necessary; modify the public perception of law, change the basic premise or principle of society, establish a separate or alternate hierarchy, remove any other ideology from public discourse, control the resources of information so that all documents reflect the new ideology.
There were two methods given by Marx to convert a populace to the communist ideal utopia. The first Marx himself discounted as possible, because he knew that there would be too many steps to be taken by too many people, all of which requiring too much money. The second method, a direct violent overthrow of a government by a few revolutionaries dedicated wholly to the cause, willing to pay the price in lives and treasure in order to ensure the well being of the future of mankind was, in his mind, the only way these changes could be really accomplished.
Although Marx was able to foresee the massive wealth that could be acquired by a small few under the new industrialized economies, and the great divide between rich and poor that this system would promote, he failed to realize that some of these men with immense wealth would actually agree with his principles and would invest that money in the establishment of communism.
Within the context of a classless society and a rebellion of the lower class against the upper class, one might wonder why any super-rich person would want to promote socialism, or communism.
What these rich men saw was that in such a system, the golden rule is the only rule; he who has the gold, rules. This is the premise of a socialized government. The government becomes the source and provision of all money. If the government wants to control a particular behavior, it simply shifts money around and influences the lives of those it wants to control.
Marx’s perfect ideal was that no one particular person would have this level of control for any extended period of time. This is where the ideology fails.
The greatest failing of Rousseau and Marx was that they did not express the truth; mankind, by nature, is selfish, and selfishness is the root of all evil. You thought that money was the root of all evil? Well, that’s the problem, the Bible doesn’t say that money is the root of evil, it says that “the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.” Selfishness leads to covetousness, covetousness leads to self-gratification, self-gratification without regards for the well being of others is evil.
The men with real money, the inordinately rich, realized very quickly that if they held the money, it didn’t matter which government was in charge; as long as the method of government was collectivist. No particular government would hold or generate enough money to challenge them, because socialist/collectivist governments do no produce or encourage financial growth. With the governments of the world bankrupt, the only remaining power becomes the men with money.
The irony of it all is that money itself is nothing more than ones and zeroes on a spread sheet somewhere in some computer. It is the simple truth that these men don’t have anything that the people don’t grant them, and that the entire thing is nothing more than a huge con.
So, how was this con accomplished? Read on…
