The New Heaven, The New Earth

by Isaiah Roman

If life were like a “faerie tale” everyone would be content with it.  All faerie tales begin the same “once upon a time” and end with “and they lived happily ever after.”  But then, life is certainly not like that; even the Christian life isn’t.  It is getting from the former to the latter that is the problem; therein the tale is told.  If there were no “in between” so to speak life would be as a lovely dream.

(The girl in each tale is some sort of princess even though she was stolen by gypsies and lived very unhappily until the “handsome” prince came along and rescued her and took her as his bride to his castle.

Even in a castle however the chores must be done, the diapers washed and babies are not always sweet darlings.  So the faerie tales leave out a lot of important yet unpleasant details.  At the end of life there are always the good memories that outlive and overcome the bad ones otherwise life would be more like living in the doldrums).

It would seem too many people who seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and the Prince or Peace look at their journey in the same way.   That’s the prime reason many start the journey and fall exhausted by the wayside and perish.  If there were no challenges to overcome there would be no growth and no strength.   It is the hard times that give a sweet savor to the good times when they are over.

That story or humankind starts the same “once upon a time” a great King (God) decided to create a peaceful kingdom for his subjects whom he dearly loves.  It is His nature simply because He is love and desires to create objects upon which he may shower it.

Being a good and loving God, He started first by providing everything necessary for his subjects to live an idyllic existence.  He created His kingdom, planted a garden east in Eden and His crowning glory in it was mankind.  You know, the two legged creature that walks upright and has a brain that is capable of thought and creating after his own fashion and reasoning powers?  God created man in His own image and likeness whom He loves.  What more could He have done?

Prior to creating His kingdom he created a group of creatures to assist in the creation called angels.  It is written of the highest one of the highest order of these creatures, “You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.  You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created. You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so: you were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.  You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you (Ezekiel 28: 12-15).

Think on this, this angel was the greatest, most gifted with knowledge and head over all the creatures of his order.  He was next to the godhead yet he was not satisfied. After the Father, Son and Holy Spirit Lucifer was next in the chain of command of created beings.  For reasons it is not known this was not enough.  It appears he became filled with envy, jealousy and anger.  He wanted more, He wanted to be “like the Most High.”   He obviously wanted to be worshipped as “the most high.”

Iniquity was found in him for he said, “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High (Isaiah 14: 13-14).”

God blessed Adam and Eve and He said unto them, “I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat (Genesis 1: 29)

…(God added a codicil to his will), the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shalt not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die (Genesis 2: 16-17)

…Be fruitful, and multiply, and [fill] the earth [with your sons and daughters], and subdue it: have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon [the face] the earth (Genesis 1: 28).”  Lucifer in his rebellious state entered the garden of paradise, Eden, and deceived the woman and she enticed her husband to sin.

Satan promised Adam and Eve they would be as gods if they, as he had, would rebel against God.  The two sinned and forfeited the kingdom to Lucifer who became Satan (the adversary).   Since that day the kingdoms of the earth with one exception belonged to Satan.

The governments of those nations except Israel are the works of the enemy Satan beginning with Nimrod and Semarmis at Babel (which became Babylon) until this present day.  They rebelled against God Genesis 11: 4.

God had said be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth; they stopped at Babel to build a tower as a monument to man and to reach to God and perhaps pull Him off His thrown.

In this they evidenced they were Satan’s people.  This was the sight of the first great apostasy which was put down by Shem the second son of Noah.  This is the beginning of the rise of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob out of which came the twelve tribes then Moses out of Levi, and out of Judah, David; then came Jesus the Messiah (the daysman of Job or mediator between God and man) the Messiah.

God has not chosen any nation for His own besides Israel; however, the people Christ called out for his church founded a nation the United States of America, based on scriptural principals, to be a golden chalice out of which he would pour the wine of His blood around the world in the last days to prepare for the second coming of His mediator (Jewish; Messiah), Jesus Christ to judge the world.

After which there would be a new heaven, a new earth and a new Jerusalem (Revelations 21: 2) to rule over the earth in eternal peace and prosperity.   “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.(Revelations 21:22)”

“Behold, the days come, says the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt (Amos 9:13).”  “The mountains

shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground (Ezekiel 38:20).  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea (Revelations 21:1).

  1. Mountains are often used as symbolic of biblical kingdoms or the capital cities of them (Babylon; Zechariah 4: 7).  This may also be prophetic parlance for actual mountain ranges since it has peen prophesied there will be no more seas.  In any event it will be totally different from any prior historical evidence has shown.
