The God of Perfect Order

by Isaiah Roman

There are parallels, not direct correlation, between certain key events in the sequence of events of God’s dealings with Israel which are seen repeated in the United States of America.  There is a foundational difference however.  God made covenants with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to establish a peculiar people through them.  His covenant was with a nation, Israel.

History is witness to the original immigration of European peoples to the shores of this continent for one basic reason, religious freedom.  They were returning to true worship of the One True God and His mediator (messiah).

They came also to escape the premises laid down in the “divine right of kings” and ancient rights and title to lands derived directly from that right.  There was land sparsely settled on this continent while Europe was beginning to experience a lack of tenable and arable land to support its burgeoning population.  Where men existed that were willing to venture forth to unknown places there was the possibility of carving out a place for him and his posterity.

It is a fact victors write history, it is also a fact that history has been purposely rewritten to revise the reasons why certain victories were achieved, and thereby corrupted history.

In the last one hundred years of the United States existence, the facts that men of God founded this nation and patterned it after the Bible, the Word of God has undergone a monstrous revision.   While heroes and martyrs have ventured “their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor;” those that did not have the ability ambition, courage or heart to do so under cut those brave men and women.  They have usurped what they had not the ability and courage to obtain. Like wolves with a pack mentality they have ravaged brave men individually to gain what they could not themselves as individuals obtain.
The Creator God was given praise and glory and honor in the founding document of this nation, the Constitution of the United States.  God’s covenant is not with the nation; but, with those that accept Jesus as the Only Begotten Son of God, as individuals not as a nation.  They do not need a “Temple,” each person is the temple of the Holy Spirit of God.  He honored the faithfulness of those men and women and blessed this nation beyond any other since Israel.

In concept, precept and in principle the governing body of this nation has turned its back on the Creator named in that document.  It has placed its trust in humanistic governance.   The majority of the people “honor God with their lips but their heart is far from Him.”  Unless or until there is repentance and return to the law of God instead of dependence on the benevolence of man through socialism (false equality, “unity through diversity” and loss of liberty) the nation will not stand.  It is only through God’s law1 and His commandments that those values can be achieved.

When mankind attempts to replace God it must destroy deity or marginalize Him among men and therefore neutralize any effect He may exert on mankind through them.  This is only accomplished this with the aid of the arch rebel Lucifer who became Satan, the adversary of mankind and the enemy of God.2

That should not seem strange since God is supernatural and is perfect order.  There are differences in the manner God deals with men and nations because the covenants God choses to make with different men and nations require differences to fit His character, attributes and properties.  In the panoply of the tapestry of creation He has woven all the themes, features and overall order so that it must display His ultimate properties, which are love and justice, as well as satisfy his properties of omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence.

God is bound by the fact that it is impossible for Him to lie, cause pain or suffering to those He loves.  Every act of pain and suffering comes from His creatures because of sin.   “The soul that sins it shall die;” therefore,  “the wages of sin is death.” Who is able to leave this world in any other manner by any other means?

“But the gift of God is eternal life” to those that obey Him.  “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things” (Romans 8:32)?

Pain and suffering result from a world that has been corrupted by sin.  Every act of transgression of God’s law results in sin, pain and suffering.  Mankind, animals and the earth itself suffers from the transgressions of mankind alone.  It was mankind that God created in His own image and gave him dominion over the earth.  Every bit of pain, suffering and disfigurement of mankind comes from the compounded sin of disobedient man.

Water and fire purify all things.

Water cleanses and washes all corruption to the sea where God purifies it with salt and sends the water as clouds back across the land to bring back the living things season after season to refresh and feed all his creatures.  God “washed” the entire earth with water in Noah’s day as a demonstration of that truth.

Water did not change the elements as fire does.  God has decreed that He will destroy the earth again; but, with fire the second time.

Fire destroys all corruption and transforms that which it consumes to ashes and other material forms.  He has decreed that He will destroy the earth in the future with fire.  Fire will burn and refigure the elements the next time.  They will be new!
After the burning of the corruption and every creature that corrupts there will be a renewing of heaven and earth and a new Jerusalem that shall come down to earth out of heaven.  God will restore the earth to its pristine condition as it was in the garden of Eden before He created mankind.  God will reconcile all things to Himself.  “God is not a man that He should lie neither the son of man that He should repent; has He said and shall He not do it, has He spoken and shall He not make it good?”

The Christian sees these things through the eyes of faith.  God has repeated many times through His prophets His promises.  He has done this for a reason which He also repeated many times, “That they may know that I am God and there is none other!”  “That I might prove them whether they will obey my word or not.”  All those that walk upright before me I will bless!

This nation presently is in such a situation as is recorded in the Bible in I Kings chapter twelve.

And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men (conservatives), that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do you advise that I may answer this people?  And they spoke unto him, saying, If you wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants for ever.

But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men (liberals or progressives) that were grown up with him, and which stood before him:  And he said unto them, What counsel give you that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which your father did put upon us lighter?  And the young men that were grown up with him spoke unto him, saying,

Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spoke unto you, saying, Your father made our yoke heavy, but make it lighter unto us; thus shalt you say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s loins.  And now whereas my father did load you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions (I Kings 12: 6-11)

The dividing of the kingdom into two parts is described in this chapter.  Ten of the tribes anointed Jeroboam king over them and were called Israel or the northern kingdom; Judah and Benjamin became the second kingdom of Judah with Jerusalem as their capitol and worshipped God after the covenant of Moses in the Temple of Solomon.

God did this because the people departed from the worship of the One True God; but, what was the immediate cause?  Simply stated it was moral depravity, corruption.

“King Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;  Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love (I Kings 11: 1-2).”

…therefore, “The LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.  Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.”

From that time Israel as it was constituted by the Covenant of Moses and worship of the one true God ceased to be. Israel had Shechem for its capitol and departed from the worship of God.  Jeroboam built two idols, golden calves, as the children of Israel did in the first apostasy after departing from Egypt while Moses was on Mt Sinai receiving the law from God.  He forbad Israel to worship at the Temple at Jerusalem.  At this time the faithful left the northern kingdom and immigrated to Judah.

Eventually Judah turned from God to idols which corrupted it.  The idols were worshipped even in the very temple precincts.  After the seventy years of captivity of Judah, under rulers that were not in the line of David but were tetrarchs put in places of authority by Imperial Rome the Jews continued to worship in the “Temple” built by Herod at Jerusalem that had replaced the Temple of Solomon which was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar at the beginning of the seventh years dispersal prophesied by the prophet Jeremiah.

In seventy AD, years after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, all Israel were dispersed over the face of the earth until this very day.  They lost their nation but not their national identity or heritage but the Temple was demolished and records were destroyed and their individual tribal identity lost.

The Jews are the “barometer” by which God still measures the “storms” or upheavals of nations and peoples on earth.  Abraham was given an eternal covenant.  God will keep every iota of that covenant as well as reconcile it with the Mosaic covenant and the Mediatorial or Messianic covenant through Jesus Christ.  God in his omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence will perfectly reconcile all things and restore the idyllic conditions he established before the creation of mankind.

God is a supernatural God. God is LIGHT, life and all things to all mankind.  He is love but He is also just.  The righteous shall shine forth and the unrighteous shall be as the chaff which the wind drives away and is burned.

From eternity past that LIGHT shined and out of the utter darkness of nothingness all things that are came into being as well as the moral, physical and thermodynamic laws that govern the movement of the planets and galaxies.  “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled (Matthew 5:18)”

That same God who is love and just has done all this and will do all he has spoken through His prophets!

  1. “Master, which is the great commandment in the law?  Jesus said unto him, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22: 36-39).”
  2. Isaiah 14: 12-14
