Siren’s Song

by Isaiah Roman

siren_songThe sirens of socialism are luring the ship of state to be dashed on the rocks of destruction by means of deliberately created, enormous swells of financial crises. If there were willing men who would pull at the oars there might be time yet to pull against the tide, or at the very least cast out anchors to halt the drift toward chaos.1 Instead the sailors are mesmerized by the song of the sirens, promising the pleasures of a better life.

There are those who have, in the past, raised alarm about what is coming. There are now voices of warning telling us that such a situation is in the offing.2 Those persons who are in positions of authority sleep on. They are as sailors in a drunken stupor; with no mind to listen. Is there no one able to wake them from their daydream? It may be too late. No one can cry foul (though certainly they will); there has been ample warning of this outcome.

There is a systematic attack upon the Constitution of the United States. A designed, gradual, peace-meal erosion is being perpetrated on the hull and gunwales that stand between the citizens of this nation, and the world. The only bastion against ultimate wholesale slavery is has had its caulking erode and it’s finish chipped away. The bilges are full of stale, rotting water and the pumps remain untended.

There are a multitude of people willing to believe promises of man-made eternal security. They are willingly walking off the deck of this ship to drown in a sea of socialism. The voices they hear ply at their will with soft, pacific platitudes. The lies come quietly, softly, seductively without the warning of confrontation.

As the mega-storms of man-made crises crash upon the decks reinforced with integrity; integrity derived from the United States Constitution and Declaration of Independence, the barrier of wood that lies between ship and sea no longer resists the ocean of collectivism, but lets the water in.3

The waters of this ocean of socialistic thought is growing deeper, covering more and more of the dry land that used to provide rest and resupply. There is coming a flood of global proportions and, much like Noah’s flood, is presently threatening to drown the world. It has already swept over the orient, the middle east, the former USSR and Europe.

The United States of America is the only remaining bastion of freedom (Christianity), where light still shines beaconing to those that seek to escape. The ocean, if it is to succeed in it’s quest for complete domination, must extinguish that lantern. Darkness can not abide a single candle; where a beacon of freedom still shines the darkness will be forced back. A ship that floats cannot be overcome by water, no matter the depth of the sea.

These attacks are not novel, or new. They have been continuing since the original document was adopted by the thirteen colonies (which became the original thirteen states). It is only recently that those who represent the people in Washington DC have gained enough political power, through corruption by wealth, to become able to overpower, overwhelm its citizenry by preying on the poor and the indigent.

The educators have lied to our children. They teach that we are a democracy. They purposely ignore the simple fact that those men who founded this nation clearly understood that a pure democracy is the worst form of government, and the first form to fail it’s people. They deceive by not teaching that this nation is a federal republic.

Through democracy and the promises of equality for the poor, the progressives have convinced enough of the citizenry toward their cause, and so have gained a political majority. They use their status to elevate further delude the people, and thereby establish the political leadership as dictators.

These self styled elites have laid claim to a form of deity. They grant rights and privileges based on nothing more than their own sense of righteousness. They have overthrown the heretofore recognized authority of this tripartite government and its constitution. They have, over time, seeped into the cracks created by the systems established within the Constitution and have changed equal justice for individual equality, the general welfare to shared wealth and the common defense to defending the common.

The constitution spells out the rights of government and those of its citizens. In order to convince the signers of the declaration of independence and the constitution it was necessary for a bill of rights be added to the document that guaranteed individual rights to each citizen. It was necessary, nay imperative, to recognize an authority above humankind for true freedom. The “bill of rights’ is the protection for the individual citizen from a tyranny by its own government. If each individual point of that bill is destroyed as the water rushes in, the wood expands and the water dries away leaving nothing but salt and bacterial decay.

This nation was patterned after another ship. It was patterned after the first ship that survived a flood of evil and despair. The Ark was a shadow and pretext for the One who would be the salvation of all mankind. The Christ, the Son of God, is the inspiration for the whole existence of this nation. We have a triune government. We have the Rule of Law. We have equal justice for all men, and equal punishment for all crimes against justice. The very reason there are men on this continent at all comes from a desire to worship the Christ. This is the reason this nation was allowed to prosper. This is the reason why it will be allowed to fail.

This ship is being lured towards a shore that will end in it’s destruction. The waters are deepening, making fewer and fewer safe ports of call. Soon, we will be left with only one choice; land against the rocks, or die. The lie of the siren’s song is the promise of safety on shore. The truth is that both decisions will end in death eternal.

Look to God in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and live!

  1. The Apostle Paul in a similar situation encouraged his fellow travelers to take his advice, he said, “Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives. Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul. Acts 27: 10, 11)
  2. “…after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss. And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Cæsar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me. Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island” (Acts 27: 21-26). 3 Each citizen gives as to his ability and receives as to his needs; everyone is equal…except for the ruling elite! The French defined it as liberte, egualite, and fraternite. Freedom, equality and brotherhood.
