The Proper Argument

by Isaiah Roman

In the ongoing battle between atheists and theists there needs to be a clarification of terms. The atheists have cleverly redefined the words used in the discussion to favor their own ideology. The battle should not be between Creation and Evolution. The battle Should be between Atheism and Theism, Naturalism and Creation, and Evolution versus Devolution.

Comparative Religious Studies: Eastern Philosphy

by Isaiah Roman

Hindu, Buddhism, Taoism, Zen, Shinto, Confucianism et. al. are all religions, but they are also rooted in a particular philosophy. All of the eastern religions flow from the same central source; the Hindus Valley. All Eastern religions flow from the same basic principle; the tao, or “the way” to enlightenment can only be achieved from within.

Seeking God

by Isaiah Roman

Man has a mistaken notion that he found God.  It is God through grace that approached mankind and revealed Himself through the “ foolishness of preaching”1 “the Word” and offered salvation.  The truth is God is omnipresent.  That means He fills His creation to over flowing; there is not [enough] room in it to contain Him“2 Any where you are, He is there,3 He was there before you arrived even before you were born.

From Creation to Babel: Part 9

Genesis 3

One of the most hotly contested stories in the Bible is the story of the “Original Sin.” This should be the most seriously considered story in the Bible, as it is the crux of the entire meaning of salvation, grace and the righteousness of God.

From Creation to Babel: Part 8

by Isaiah Roman

Genesis 2

Genesis 2 is sort of a mosh of two different accounts of the same thing. The Bible didn’t receive chapters and verses until much later in it’s publication cycle. In fact, the Hebrew originals didn’t even have spaces in-between the words. To look at this chapter properly, one might take verses one through three and put them back into chapter 1. These verses merely describe the symbology of the seventh day as a day of rest, given by God to man for the purposes of recuperation.

The Socialization of America, Part 2

by Isaiah Roman

Values clarification went along with the need for cultural change. The times were  changing rapidly. With the development of an atomic bomb and the hydrogen bomb it was now thought possible to destroy the entire planet in one fell swoop. The tension brought on by the cold war seemed to demand social changes. The “Nuclear Age” became a reevaluation of the old “Victorian Age” values. Because of WWII, women had new found “freedom” to enter the work force. This, in turn, left the children who were cared for primarily by those women without family instruction. Instead, the children were turned over to the state for their education process.

Comparative Religious Studies: Origins of Religion

by Isaiah Roman

When Noah stepped off of the ark he brought with him three sons, three daughters and a lot of animals. What Noah also brought with him was the knowledge of God. This knowledge he passed on to his sons, and in turn, they passed on to their own children. But things were different after the flood than they were before the flood.
