One of Satan’s Counterfeits

by Isaiah Roman

God created man in His own image and likeness. It was God’s intent to draw man toward truth and righteousness [God’s law]. The “reins” God used to draw with were like silken strands of pure love. God’s desire was, and is for mankind to see and acknowledge the “Greater Good” of being pure and sanctified, instead of settling for the self-generated appearance of good.1

The primary flaw in man is his human nature. Man lives in the forlorn hope that if he can somehow get close enough to good through working out the appearance of good, God will have pity and excuse him for having achieved a greater balance of “good” than “bad.” Unfortunately, God is pure and holy by nature, and He is omnipotent. He doesn’t need our good deeds, He desires a pure, loving heart. Everything that He has done has been done so that mankind might recognize true goodness and through this gain a desire with all his essential existence (heart soul and mind) to emulate the love of God toward his fellow man.

In the Old Testament prophecies of the Christ Ezekiel writes that God has said; “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26).
In the New Testament the Apostle John tells us that Jesus has said; “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost [Spirit], whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” (John 14:26).

One means by which Satan has counterfeited God’s plan is called “extra sensory perception,” or ESP. A scientific definition of ESP is “the acquisition by a human or animal mind of information it could not have received by normal, sensory means [i.e., a sixth sense].” It is an attempt to access or enter into the mind of a person in order to exert control over the “seat” of human power. The secular world assumes that this seat of power is the rational mind. The Christian and their enemy understands that the seat of power is really the soul.

What was once called witchcraft or sorcery is now being used within law enforcement agencies to investigate difficult crime scene scenarios and to aid regular scientific laboratory services. These agencies are so far removed from their ability to understand and deal with evil that they feel compelled to turn to supernatural spiritualists to aid them. Various science laboratories work to improve knowledge and to aid in psychological research to perfect the field. LSD was an early attempt to free the mind from it’s rational boundaries and create a person who could ascend beyond the body’s limitations. It is hoped that through science, the practice of divination and thought projection may be perfected. This would then establish psychic studies as genuine and authentic it in the minds of the masses.

God, in His word, acknowledges that the most efficient way to control man is to play upon his fear of death and his desire to live eternally.2 The original sin was played out through the promise of power over reality and the very fabric of existence through the secrets of knowledge.

The finite mind of man not only continues to aid in this counterfeit soul binding, but encourages others to accept it as normal, profound, even evolutionary. The confusion is promulgated by a repetitious lie.

Adolph Hitler taught this in his “masterpiece” (Mein Kampf). The greater the lie repeated often enough eventually establishes it as truth in the mind of man. It should be observed that Hitler organized the “National Socialist Party” (Nazi; pronounced “Natzi”). As early as 1918 Hitler had already decided mind control for public health purposes was the only efficient way to make the practice palatable and thereby more easy to manage the common masses. He was convinced universal healthcare was the most efficient method to achieve that control while he inaugurated and perfected his “master race” theory.

Under the guise of providing for the general welfare of his people, Hitler enacted policies that guaranteed the general welfare of the people he chose as deserving of care. Part of his attempts at mind control incorporated cult practices, wrapped in a cloak of naturalist science. “Let them look to me,3” he said, [not the God of the Jews]. Under the guise of a master race and health control Dr. Joseph Mengele began his human mind experiments among the “inferior” races of prisoners in the concentration camps.

In 1872 Darwin wrote his second book; “The Expression of Emotion in Man and Animals.” His thesis was that if humans have evolved from animals, then human emotions have evolved from animals as well. His extrapolation came from seeing that “primary” creatures such as alligators don’t express very many emotions, but primates do.

In 1884, the American philosopher William James wrote the essay “What is An Emotion?” His essay argued that emotions are part of the evolutionary process, a result of the bodily processes of the natural organism. Freud picked up on Jame’s idea and came up with the thesis that love is therefore one of the key markers of a more highly evolved organism, but it is only a biological function. Therefore, love and sex are intwined and inseparable and love is not a choice of will, or a gift of grace, but rather an inescapable function of the biological organism.

Between 1942 and 1950 Isaac Asimov wrote a series of short stories for Astounding Magazine called “Foundation.” Across the next thirty years Asimov wrote several books in the “Foundation” series, including his famous “I Robot” stories. The main backdrop of his works was a theory he called “Future History.” This theory was the result of the trail of philosophy from Darwin through Freud. Future History describes a process of predicting the future based upon complicated mathematical algorithms that analyze human behavior, based upon their biological markers, taking into consideration the rate of evolution in the species.

This thought process is really nothing more than a “jazzed up” version of Hellenistic philosophy. The only new thing about these thought processes is that they are now wrapped in their new cloak, which makes them appear novel. All of this points back to one central point that has been hidden by that cloak, obfuscated by the repetition of lies, and obscured by the will of men. When God created he gave man authority over everything on this earth. Man had free reign, except for the one tree that God reserved for himself. When Eve was tempted the deception Satan presented was that God had reserved the best for Himself, and that everything else in the garden was nothing compared to that one prize. It was the promise of power, hidden within the secret of knowledge.

All of this has a foundation, and that foundation is held within the person of our enemy. Let no one be mistaken; the struggle in the Unites States, and for that matter, the world over is a spiritual war, not a political one. It is a war between good and evil; “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

This war can not be fought successfully using political, military, or scientific weapons. There is only one weapon that can be used against this enemy; “take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6: 13-18).

  1. “Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams” (I Samuel 15:22).“But if ye had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless” (Matthew 12:7)
  2. those…”who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage” (Hebrews 2:15)
  3. An interesting aside; Jim Jones picked the Bible up off the pulpit one day and threw it down the church isle saying, “don’t look to this book, look to me”
