Lucifer Who Became Satan

This creation is not for men, it is for God as a gift to His Son. The cosmos was designed and patterned after the Christ. From this pattern men were made; in God’s image. Because we were made in God’s image, we have certain traits which come from our Maker. This is how God demonstrated his love; in that He gave us the ability to love. But, love requires free will. Because our worship of God is of choice, there must be the real and present ability to choose otherwise; to choose not to love God. If you choose not to love God, or if you choose not to make the choice, then God will oblige your decision and you are separated from righteousness; separated from God.

Yet, for righteousness sake, God established a means of reconciliation. He created a way for us to return to a right relationship. The Christ is the One who was predestined to be the salvation of mankind, from before the dawn of creation. This predestination was so that the righteousness of God could be exemplified throughout the existence of the creation. We, as God’s creation, were set apart as stewards over God’s gift. He, of His nature, according to His grace, gave men authority over this portion of creation.

God prepared everything necessary for a proper life support system and set it in motion before introducing mankind upon the face of the earth. He completed creation and gave assurance of his intent toward mankind when He states without fanfare, but with certainty these words; “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” – Genesis 1:28-31

God finished a perfect habitation for humankind and He promised He would keep it, preserve it and preserve mankind on it (Psalm 121) …to all who will obey.

Thus life began for all creatures and as long as they obeyed the law of God they lived in a paradise possessing great felicity and much joy. Yet, worship of God is a choice, not only for us, but for all God’s created. Love cannot force a positive response, but love can condemn a negative response. To “express complete disapproval of… censure1” someone who has decided to act as your enemy is as natural as rain. To remove yourself from them is just as plain.

Pride entered into the heart of the chief of the heavenly creatures (angels, bene ha elohim). Lucifer, who became the adversary (Satan), entered the habitat of mankind and tempted Adam. Mankind succumbed to temptation and fell from his first estate, allowing the accuser free reign in this place. Because of his actions, the man brought chaos and strife into the earth; the knowledge of both good and evil. To have knowledge is not only to know the meaning of, but to have experience of. The experience of evil brought forth more evil and God cannot abide with evil.

“I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel [“the promised land”]: and ye shall know that I am the Lord (Ezekiel 20:38)”

As part of God’s grace he revealed to certain men throughout history the things that were, and are, and will be. In the perfection of revelation (which was progressive and complete throughout the scriptures) the Lord addressed the sequence of events that were to come to pass. “Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day (Ezekiel 24:2).” All of history has already been written; beginning, middle and end. There is no more mystery but that which has already been revealed.

There are many who seek to decode the mysteries of the prophecies of the end days, but what they seek is prescience to predict; and through prediction gain authority over the word. God tells us not to worry about tomorrow and to live today. God tells us to worship Him every day, as long as it is called today. Through our seeking we gain the kingdom, and if we gain the kingdom, we gain everything. It is the purpose of the accuser, the enemy, to keep your mind on anything but what is happening right now, because if you live right now you will notice that you must do. If you live for the future, you live for a dream. If you live for the past, you live for a memory. If you live for today, you must live today.

Today the world’s systems of government are in crisis; economically, socially, and systematically. God has progressively been removed from society and for centuries mankind has set about establishing himself as god2 There are those now that are blatantly anti-God and are attempting to divest themselves (and the rest of us) of the Creator completely and finally; setting mankind upon the throne (Psalm 2:1-7) as ruler.3 There are those who actively seek the “son of perdition” as their salvation from the chaos around them. Everyone is looking for someone else to fix their problems; very few are looking to what can be done right now, today. Very few are willing to sacrifice right now, today. While they delay the enemy moves, active, purposed, towards the goal he wanted from the very beginning.

Natural crises like hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis add to the clamor of wars and conflicts and crime increasing the general anxiety of the world’s huddled masses. People search for a place to escape the pressure of all these things coming upon them. They bury their heads in sex, drugs, alcohol, hobbies, entertainment of all variety. They close their ears and sing “la la la la,” they close their eyes and hold their breath, but none of it stops the wheel from turning. As the unseen pressures mount people become more and more frantic, willing to grasp onto anything that “feels right.”

Satan’s plan is nearly complete. A man will come with the appearance of righteousness, desirable in every way. With him will come the appearance of peace, the appearance of strength, the appearance of harmony, and an exhibition of the miraculous and people will cleave to him and worship him as lord and savior like no other before him.

If you believe that you will be “called out” before any of this happens, then think again. Those righteous prophets were not called out before or during the destruction of Judah. They were carried through by God’s grace. Noah and his family weren’t called out before the flood. They were carried through it by God’s grace. There is no passage in the Bible that tells of an escape from the tribulation, other than the escape provided by God’s grace to carry you through the trials. There is only one escape and that is God and there is only one way to reconcile oneself with God and that is His Son, the Messiah; Jesus the Christ.

Although Satan’s plan was to usurp the authority of man, in an attempt to force God to accede this place to his authority, this creation was never ours to relinquish, nor Satan’s to gain. This cosmos was created by God as a gift to His Son and it is the Son – who is God – who owns this cosmos and everything in it. That truth remains, and shall eternally be, inviolate.

Ezekiel 28:11-19:
“Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Thou art the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.”

Isaiah 14:9-17;
“Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirs up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit (Sheol). They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man (son of perdition) that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?”

God took the initiative to reconcile mankind to Himself. He…spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things(Romans 8:32)?

His Son give his life a sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. “He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (II Corinthians 5:21).”

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).”

  1. definition 1 of ‘condemn’ according to the American Standard Dictionary.
  2. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)” (I Corinthians 8:5).
  3. Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” (II Thessalonians 2:4)
