Just Thinking…

by Isaiah Roman

Inside, a stone bowl-type sarcophagus lies inside a narrow burrow, topped by a heavy stone lid. While such lids often bore inscriptions, this one does not; the Maya apparently began to abandon their elaborate writing system in the twilight of their culture. Fox News

I find it interesting that the loss of language is associated with the decay of the Mayan society, and not as a precursor to Mayan civilization. Evolutionists have taught us for years that language is a part of the evolutionary process. It seems that this article has just admitted that the lack of language can also be part of a devolutionary process as well.

I wonder, if primitive societies become primitive as they regressed away from more complex society, wouldn’t that generally contradict the evolutionary notions of the development of language and society as a whole? Perhaps we all started out as complex creatures and have, over time begun to degrade; that is, except for those societies which held on to the original complexity, or have been influenced by that complexity.
