Denominational warfare is the single most detrimental force in the world today. When the Church is divided against itself it is weak and ineffectual. Like the American-Indian wars, when each “tribe” is busy warring against their own, it is easy for an enemy to pick them off one by one. It was when the Sioux joined together into one large group that they managed to finally stand against the Cavalry, because the American Cavalry had made the mistake of acting like the native Americans; they were divided.
However, I we are not advocating the idea that there are core issues of faith to which we all agree and there are secondary issues of doctrine on which we can agree to disagree. There is only ONE God, and He has only ONE will and purpose. When we disagree with each other, we are both wrong before God.
First and foremost, God spent a lot of time, effort, and lives to get the Bible into our hands. It is His story, penned by His inspiration. It is the History of the world, from beginning to end. When examining the subjects we will be covering we will always look through the lens of the Word. Be prepared. Sometimes these things aren’t what you expect. Many times the subjects we will cover will seem to be obscure and esoteric. They are not. Remember: the history of the world, from beginning to end, has already been written. All you need to do is read and watch.
