Regarding entitlement one thought that comes to mind is the giving of an Allowance. Time was kids were expected to help out around the house with the expectation of getting nothing beyond a roof over their head, a bed to sleep in, and clothes to wear. Then along came the allowance - parents began to pay their children for doing their chores, bribing them instead of teaching them the responsibility of helping, now kids are just getting the allowance and nothing is expected in return. Thus creating the expectation of entitlement to the money.

[...] The Doctrine of Destiny Part 3: The Christ Is there was a way to reconcile the nature of God and these two seeming contrarieties of predeterminism and free will? The question has already been answered, several times. All we have to do is read that answer.
[...] The Doctrine of Destiny Part 2: Free Will If determinism, or predeterminism doesn’t fit the personality of God, then what does? Some propose the concept of Free Will. This is the idea that each person has the free, individual right, to decide their own destiny.
[...] The Doctrine of Destiny Part 1: Determinism Thus we arrive at Predeterminism. Predeterminism is that peculiar thought process that everything in the universe was planned out before the beginning of the universe.
