Children Are Their Oppressors
God says, Let us create man in our image and likeness (a living eternal soul) and give him dominion over the earth. Under obedience to God’s law,1 mankind is free to govern himself. Within creation we are bound to it’s realities. As part of creation we are beneath its creator. God is the King or Ruler of that system and the Bible is His law. It is fully sufficient for faith and practice in a good life.
God, contrary to popular opinion, never overpowers the human will. By tender loving care and persuasion he draws the will of mankind toward Himself.2 The infinite, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God always knows what is right in every situation and His laws are based in that truth. On the other hand, transgression of God’s law – which is sin – does hurt, harm and kill. God is not the author of sin. His will is ever directed toward His creature’s good.
God sets forth the proposition “here is righteousness and truth; believe it and act upon it and be free to enjoy an abundant life. Ignore, deny or reject it and await a miserable lonely death. Each is free to choose which.3 Yet each is bound within the system. This is the reality that humans constantly try to escape. When you make yourself god, you set yourself up as the author of the system. This pretense towards power is the driving force behind all those who deny God.
Collectivism (i.e., socialism, communism, social democrats & etc.) is the same system of government established by God in ancient Israel…without an Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent God. When God is removed from the equation a vacuum is created. When a low barometric pressure is created in the atmosphere, which is a semi-vacuum, wind from other parts of the globe rush into it. Nature despises a vacuum!
Remove God from a society and someone will rush to offer himself as a prospect to fill the void. In an orderly society there are followers and leaders, someone must rule others, it is human nature to establish and maintain authority or government for the sake of survival and harmony of the entire group. If not, eventually it deteriorates to the survival of the fittest or evolution where the strong prey on the weak; it becomes the system and mankind become its gods. When there is no omnipotent, omniscient powerful overseer to arbitrate differences, the law of the jungle prevails. Where there is no God men will become gods.
In that effort, the collectivist takes on the responsibilities of both God and the father. The roles of men, as they have been given of God, must remain, but they remain under the terms of the new masters. These self-righteous people have chosen a tactic that very few will argue against “we must do what’s best for the children for their own good.”4 They know that children are incapable of knowing or learning how to take care of themselves without propitious supervision. They know that the gateway to molding a society towards their goal is in the mind of the young.
The problem is, under the new order, the children are “the property” of the state. Under this system children are born in the image of man, such as other flesh and blood animals, and powerless; they are property of the state and may be dealt with as the elite rulers direct for the good of the state. Children are no longer divine gifts, they are part of the greater economy. If over population is a problem, in their august determination of events, they may dispose of them as it seems fit and proper. This includes letting them die (humanely by depriving them of medical care), or executing them without pain (abortion). On the other end of the life cycle, the elderly are dismissed in the same manner (euthanasia or “death with dignity”).
Mankind is given to the lie because he has no basis for unconditional love of and by himself because he is selfish and susceptible to partiality, lust, envy and jealousy; but, he will tolerate those who willingly substitute the leadership of elite intellectuals for an eternal divinity. The elite, intellectual, intelligencia (teachers, professors, doctors and practitioners of law and literature) have become the adults in modern society and all others – the masses – have become the “children.” Thus the shape of future becomes obvious. The most recent and most pronounced example is the division between the members of the “Occupy” movement in NewYork. They have already divided themselves into two groups, with the “superior” group making decisions on behalf of the “huddled masses.” It is inevitable.
It will not be peace, harmony and health, it will be chaos, disaster and death for the majority. It must be obvious to the most casual observer that mankind is a finite creature and posses finite knowledge, i.e., no one person can possibly know everything. It is soon obvious to anyone who has power of reason that situations will arise where one person alone cannot possibly reach a reasonable solution. Attempting to rule a society by committee ends in a quagmire or a strong willed person, a dictator, arises to take over. The result of finite minds attempting infinite events and things, thus very difficult situations, will of a necessity most certainly fail.
This is not novel nor is it new. We are not without witnesses as to the end of all things. The Creator has sent prophets to tell those that would listen how things will begin to shape up in the world to come. Our prime example comes from the dual nations of Israel (northern ten tribes) and Judah (the southern two tribes), which were the divine examples and illustrations of the end time for all things. Reading Isaiah, chapter 3 tells us the build up to the destruction of Judea. It recounts the steps the Israelites took towards their destruction. Chapter 4 tells us the end game;
“And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
In that day shall the branch of the LORD [Messiah] be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.” (Isaiah 4)
The God of love has sent encouragement to the faithful for their world to come (See Isaiah 3:10): He also has sent a warning to the wicked unbelievers (See Isaiah 3:11).
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days.” (Deuteronomy 30:19,20)
