To all the Flea-Party members out there… the supposed 99% who are occupying, demanding that the rich pay for your ills; a word from the wise:
God says, Let us create man in our image and likeness (a living eternal soul) and give him dominion over the earth. Under obedience to God’s law,1 mankind is free to govern himself. Within creation we are bound to it’s realities. As part of creation we are beneath its creator. God is the King or Ruler of that system and the Bible is His law. It is fully sufficient for faith and practice in a good life.
Back in the 1800’s if you were a woman, and you weren’t married by the time you were 21, you were a old maid. That, for those who don’t know, is a derogatory term. It was typical for girls to be married by the age of sixteen, and having children right away. Today we find this foreign, perhaps even reprehensible. Children at sixteen? Yet, what we must always remember is life was different back then. That’s not a trite statement.
“It shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: (Joel 2:28).”
Just trot on over to CNN.com’s “Belief” section. I dare you. Once there you’ll find the greatest collection of socially influenced Christian thought available today. It seems, ladies and gentlemen, as though it’s time that Christianity changed with the times and CNN is going to do it’s part in that effort.
Here’s what’s interesting; Roe vs. Wade is a court decision, based on a specific interpretation of the language of the 14th amendment to the Constitution which created precedent, upon which laws are now being written. Let’s make this clear; there is no law allowing abortion, or written by Congress specifically to allow the practice of abortion. Rather, there is a court mandate which demands that the rest of the government allow it.
In the realm of politics, Herman Cain is getting attacked because he’s on top. Let’s set aside the issue of whether or not he actually did anything for a moment. Let’s stick with the simple fact that Herman Cain is on the top of the list among the primary candidates, and now that he is, he’s being attacked. As soon as another candidate gets to the top, the press will pound on that person as well. In fact, they did it to Perry. His gaffs on the immigration issue were pushed far and wide. So, why is it? Why does the press jump on these people the second a whiff of indiscretion comes into view? The answer is simple; because they claim principles.
Among the headlines of the attacks on Herman Cain and the plane crash in Poland I see a little reported and barely visible article on Glenn Beck at John Hagee’s church announcing “the Third Great Awakening.” Glenn touts a return to God through his efforts to encourage solidarity with Israel and Hagee is a dual-dispensationalist from way back. This makes for an interesting mix; John Hagee and Glenn Beck. What’s so interesting? The fact that the crowd was an overflow crowd of more than seven thousand.

I find nothing in the language or history of the Constitution to support the Court's judgment. The Court simply fashions and announces a new constitutional right for pregnant mothers and, with scarcely any reason or authority for its action, invests that right with sufficient substance to override most existing state abortion statutes. – Justice Byron White
