Against Democracy
Voting rights in the United States has become a complicated issue. It’s an important issue for more than just political reasons. What is politics? It’s everything to do with the governance of a nation, regardless of the makeup of the government of that nation. Even monarchies and empires had politics. They had politics, because these organizations were made up of people and people are both temporary, and flawed. To that end, the founding fathers thought to set something more permanent as the basis for our government. They started by making certain assumptions as truths that are “self evident.”
Does the fact that Mitt Romney is a Mormon have any weight in the coming political election?
I have a problem with patience. I get frustrated easily with foolishness and stupidity. I’m not talking about children messing around, or challenging banter. I’m talking about real foolishness… the kind of foolishness that gets people in real trouble.

Jesus had an interesting tactic in speaking; the question. When engaged by an opponent he would ask a question, a question that would reframe the conversation into a context. Having perfect knowledge of the actual intent of the opponent helps. Since we lack this intrinsic ability, we need help. That help comes in many forms, but the chief of these is discernment.
The final days of the kingdom of Judah was a time like our present one; a time which this nation and the world has fallen heir. Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel prophesied in those days of the wrath of God on His chosen people. The church today has a great deal to say of the “love of God” but has ceased warning the people to “flee from the wrath of God to come” for those who turn their faces away and put His law behind their back. Time and again God has held out His hand toward this nation and the entire western culture; but, God has turned away from them. He has poured out His love and grace toward this people in tremendous blessings. This nation has reached the highest in power and glory since the nation of Israel in the time of David and Solomon. But the time of reverence has passed;
Isaiah Roman is about two things; discernment and prophecy. Discernment is about determining what is, and what is not, God’s will. Prophecy is about speaking the words and will of God to the people.
You have heard of the Ten Commandments? Here’s are a few you may, or may not have noticed, a few I would like to suggest to the present, corrupt world!
