Faith and Belief 3

by Isaiah Roman

In the original languages, in which the scriptures were written, military terms were used to describe the Christian and his walk (march toward victory).  The word disciple itself is a derivative of the word discipline.   Anyone familiar with military training can understand these analogies because they are familiar with them. Those whose background is based on the antiwar movement may see this as distasteful; but, it is an accurate portrayal of certain phases of Christian training and the Christian walk.

Worship the Lord in the Spirit of Holiness

by Isaiah Roman

The Word of God is the “book” written to guide, warn and grow the Christian in grace through faith. The Book was written primarily for the people of God at present, the church. The church for the most part has not learned proper discipline. The church has become “rich and increased with goods.” What God does not supply the church can buy with money. The church has not learned to discipline itself to obey its founder Jesus the Christ. It has learned to be competitive. But, the church is not responsible for winning from before creation; the final outcome was never in doubt. For that we have our God Himself.

Just Thinking…

by Isaiah Roman

With all of the talk about God’s grace, and His love for His children, I think it might be best to remember that God has more to his character than just peace, love and tenderness. He is also righteous:

Basis for Faith and Belief

by Isaiah Roman

In the beginning of creation there was only God; He is ONE: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (fullness of the Godhead), and nothing else. The revelation God prepared and left for humankind to live a righteous, therefore a good, life (The Bible) begins simply “In the beginning God created.”  That is a statement of fact not a subject for discussion. All of creation was in place when the first man and woman appeared,  subsequently it was there when each person after them appeared. The truth of this is unquestionable. So, why should creation be questioned? The alternative explanation of the universe, Evolution, is in need of questioning not creation. The issue of creation is simple; “…God created.” The evolutionist’s solution has huge failings in it’s understanding of the origin of all things, whereas the simple facts of creation fit with the models of origins which the sciences present. It is Evolution that should “fill in the gaps” or remain silent!

Personal Arbitrary Behavior

by Isaiah Roman

“…this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto [you] against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke [to you], from the days of Josiah, even [to] this day….”

Am I therefore your enemey?

by Isaiah Roman

You know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.  And my temptation which was in my flesh [you] despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.  Where is then the blessedness [you spoke] of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, [you] would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.  Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? (Galatians 4: 13-16 KJV)

Quicksand or concrete?

by Isaiah Roman

Faith may compared to stepping out on what appears to be quicksand, only to find when you walk on it, it is concrete. Webster defines faith as; “strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.”1  The Bible defines faith in the writings of the Apostle Paul as: “…the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The Apostle goes on to say, “For by it the elders obtained a good report [before God].” (more…)

Simply… Come, Follow the Lord

by Isaiah Roman

Oh the shame of it!  I foresee the day when nations that have been under spiritual darkness and have undergone great suffering from evil for the name of Christ such as Korea, China, India  will send missionaries to the United States to ask how it is that this nation that has so many church spires in every city has forgotten the Christ they were built to direct mankind toward the One Way to the One True God?
