Beginning and End of Truth
“The soul is God’s likeness in us; it is of primary importance to God and should be to us.” – Psalm 121
We are not created a body which is then given a soul; we are created a living soul, around which forms a body. We do not search for the will of God, we are the will of God because we are reborn by the impartation of the Spirit of God, restored by the Christ to the world. Adam’s spirit did not die; the Holy Spirit, who is life, was removed from Adam when he sinned.
Sin came into the world through Adam and Eve. When they disobeyed God’s law they forfeited their dominion over this earth to Satan. Adam was driven from paradise. If he had been left there he might have eaten of the “tree of life” and gained eternal life and remained under the influence of sin forever. A righteous, sinless God could not allow this. He had already judged sin. The body began to die and return to dust; but, the soul is eternal because God is life and He is eternal.
Before creation God provided a slain lamb, a perfect sacrifice to atone for the eventuality of sin. God raised “the Lamb” (Jesus Christ) from death and the grave to eternal life in a “glorious” body that is eternal as well. “For he has made him [Jesus Christ] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” – II Corinthians 5:21
God has provided a “glorious” body for those who would believe His revelation of Himself provided in the creation itself and His Son by His Holy Spirit. Face to face, we shall see Him and be as He is.
As Noah was carried over the global flood that destroyed all other life outside the ark, our souls shall be carried over the holocaust, that will cleanse the earth of the every remnant of sin, after the judgement in the latter days, in the ark that is Jesus Christ.
This is that word of God which says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” – Romans 12:1-2
