From Creation to Babel: Part 5

by Isaiah Roman

Genesis 1:20-23 [Day 5]

20 And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarmers having a soul of life; and let the birds fly over the earth, on the face of the expanse of the heavens. 21 And God created the great sea animals, and all that creeps, having a living soul, which swarmed the waters, according to its kind; and every bird with wing according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (more…)

A New Messiah

by Isaiah Roman

The yearning for a savior is widespread in the world. The general election recently held in the United States demonstrates the objective truth of that statement. An overwhelming majority of those who supported and gave financially to his election did so based on nothing more than the message of hope and change. (more…)

Quicksand or concrete?

by Isaiah Roman

Faith may compared to stepping out on what appears to be quicksand, only to find when you walk on it, it is concrete. Webster defines faith as; “strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.”1  The Bible defines faith in the writings of the Apostle Paul as: “…the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The Apostle goes on to say, “For by it the elders obtained a good report [before God].” (more…)

Simply… Come, Follow the Lord

by Isaiah Roman

Oh the shame of it!  I foresee the day when nations that have been under spiritual darkness and have undergone great suffering from evil for the name of Christ such as Korea, China, India  will send missionaries to the United States to ask how it is that this nation that has so many church spires in every city has forgotten the Christ they were built to direct mankind toward the One Way to the One True God? Comparative Religious Studies: Introduction

by Isaiah Roman

Let us begin by making what is probably the most important statement one can make when examining the multitudes of world views known to mankind; It is possible that all religions may be wrong, but it is not possible that all religions are right. (more…)

A Wicked Generation

by Isaiah Roman

Ezekiel 22:1-16
1 And the word of Jehovah was to me, saying, 2 And you, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Then cause her to know all her abominations. 3 Then you shall say, So says the Lord Jehovah: The city sheds blood in her midst, that her time may come. And she makes idols against herself, to defile herself . 4 By your blood which you have shed, you are guilty; and by your idols which you have made, you are defiled. And your days are brought near, and you have come to your years. On account of this, I have made you a reproach to the nations, and a mocking to all the lands. (more…)

Comparative Religious Studies

by Isaiah Roman

One of the major failings of the modern Christian body is not standing up to the forces of evil in this world who hide themselves behind the idea that what is legal is what is moral. Specifically, the communist-formed organization known as the ACLU has managed to wreak havok on the Constitution and the rights it offers it’s citizens, but even more devastating has been it’s attack on Christianity as an influence over the morals and attitudes of the American population. Genesis 1:14-19 [Day 4]

14 And God said, Let luminaries be in the expanse of the heavens, to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years. 15 And let them be for luminaries in the expanse of the heavens, to give light on the earth. And it was so. 16 And God made the two great luminaries: the great luminary to rule the day, and the small luminary and the stars to rule the night. (more…)

Authenticity

by Isaiah Roman

There was a man who was asked to pledge to his church building fund.  When the time came for him to pay, He came up short. When he was asked why he said, “God is not pressuring me and my creditors are.”  What this man hadn’t learned was the parable of the rich man and his barns1. God is long suffering and patient but is not a respecter of persons.  What he requires of the Christian, the Christian is obliged to render. (more…)

Resolution or Regeneration

by Isaiah Roman

“I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.  (John 15:5)  And Jesus looking upon them said, With men it is impossible…[but]…with God all things are possible.  (Mark 10:27) (more…)
