A response to an Atheist’s fallacious nonsense
Most atheists deny the arguments for the existence of God by misstating the argument. This is incredibly common among pocket philosopher hacks who will do just about anything to affirm their own ego. Unfortunately, most Christians don’t understand enough about their own arguments to articulate them correctly, or to rebut the Atheist’s objections.
I recently found a list of arguments commonly offered by Christians to Atheists on a web site (which will remain unnamed. The arguments are the important part, not their proponent). Unfortunately, some of the points this person makes are valid. Christians need to be careful to state their arguments correctly, and carefully.
Colloquial versions of good philosophical arguments are a bad idea. If you aren’t sure of the correct syntax of the argument, take some time to look it up and get it right! I’ve posted a new PDF on the About page that is a list of 21 Christian statements, and the response to the statement written by the Atheist. Along with each Atheist response I have written an appropriate rebuttal. My hope is that you will be not only warned of the usual Atheist responses to these common pro-Christian approaches, but that my rebuttals will prompt you to investigate the deeper meaning behind the arguments for yourself.
