A New Messiah

by Isaiah Roman

The yearning for a savior is widespread in the world. The general election recently held in the United States demonstrates the objective truth of that statement. An overwhelming majority of those who supported and gave financially to his election did so based on nothing more than the message of hope and change. When polled, a great majority of those who voted for Barak Obama couldn’t tell you much about politics, or the current state of affairs. They just knew that things were generally bad in the immediate moment, and that G.W. Bush was the “bad man” responsible for it all.

Hope, however, is in vain. The idea that one man is able to deliver them from sickness (universal health program), poverty (welfare), war, hunger, racial strife etc. is ludicrous. Barak Obama promises to “change” the world! I’m sure that he will, but it certainly won’t be a change to utopia.

The yearning for a savior has been growing in general over the years. It is only now that this yearning has reached a fever pitch. People want relief from a dangerous world and from the injustice of life. Among those of Islam there is a longing for the twelfth Imam. The words and work of leaders such as Amadinijad in Iran exhibit these desires. The Israelites are pressing even more to find the Ark, the lost temple implements, and even a red heifer. Even among the pagans worldwide there is a hope that a savior will come to deliver them from their hunger, poverty and tribulations. The world is ripe with universal hope and desire for such a person.

The sacred writings of the Jews and Christians reveal that in answer to this universal desire there will appear first a man of imposing stature who has the appearance of a strong leader that will bring peace and prosperity. The arch deceiver Satan will give him power; that person will be so convincing the Jews will believe him to be the promised Messiah at first and multitudes will look on in awe and wonder saying, “Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 3: 4). He will appear to be invincible.  He will be indeed “the son of perdition” the antichrist.

“…he [will do] great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.” (13: 13-14)

The world will be in a chaotic state and many will follow this “beast” but they will find the truth when he enters the Temple at Jerusalem, that is yet to be built. He will declare himself god and demand worship from the entire world.

“… that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (II Thessalonians 2: 3-4) He will not only be anti-Christ he will be anti-God.

There is already presently in place all things necessary to create such an atmosphere to receive such a person. A way is being prepared for his appearing. “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”

“Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion [Messiah]. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son [Jesus the Christ]; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Be wise now therefore, O you kings: be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” (Psalm 2)

The “correctional institutions” are filled to overflowing as we speak. Death row is full in most institutions. A mass murderer may be found and convicted this very day; he or she may die of old age before he or she is sentenced and serves one day of “hard time.”  Many murderers will be set free and returned to society because a judge will not allow valid evidence to be presented. Too many bent on crime believe it possible to never to experience retribution for their crime; they scoff at the courts and the justice system or fail to consider them a great threat. The human soul cries out for justice.

God is being systematically removed from federal and local government, public schools, memorials in public places and from the minds and hearts of the children. A nation that puts its own young to death can not stand. Universal health care, social security and universal housing are replacing the provision of God. There is open discussion of “sharing the wealth.” Before this becomes even a possibility the common people will have to wait until public officials eat their fill at the public trough and their greed and avarice satisfied. The question comes to mind, “how much is enough?”

The world is ready for a universal savior that will “give away the farm.”  That has already been proven on November 4, 2008. It is not necessary that everyone support him it is only necessary to maintain a plurality. Once this person has control of vital goods and services he will no longer need voters. He will eliminate discretionary spendable income through taxation. Since he now controls necessities of life” the formerly free voting citizens have freely forfeited (as did Adam) the freedom of dominion they once held so dear. They have become serfs; one step lower than a slave. A slave lives in hope of freedom a serf has no hope at all.

Scoff if you will, what was lost in the last election is liberty, freedom of choice and the pursuit of happiness. The United States has its “change” it so dearly desired and gleefully voted for; wait until it appears just what that change has wrought!

Barak Obama has not called himself Messiah but his political party whose chosen religion is Secular Humanism is pleased to put him forth as a human spiritual leader more than an elected leader of the people. He has been named Messiah by his opposition and he is pleased to let it stand; he has not denied it. One man has said of Obama, “When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking.”

The recent production staged in Washington was more that of an anointing than an inauguration. The faithful came to worship at the feet of their Messiah. He says, “Only government can break the vicious cycles that are crippling our economy.” I alone am capable of leading you back to prosperity [“the promised land”]. His administration alone is able to lift them up out of their economic malaise. They have come to believe he is able to do it. Let this be a witness; it is dangerous to play God! (See Acts 12: 20-23)

The World was waiting for a savior as the star announcing the birth of the Christ child appeared over a stable in Bethlehem two thousand years ago; the true Messiah. Christians celebrate that appearance of the savior, Christ the Lord, and rejoice. Joy to the world, the Lord is come. Let earth receive its king.” He still saves and freely gives eternal life to those that believe, accept him into their heart and repent. There is a price to be paid, your soul. “He will never leave you nor forsake you” will you willingly give it.
